Episode 3: Mimi Nicklin

Advertising, adventure, and the advantages to living with empathy

Rebekah Clark | November 30th, 2020

Mimi is a bestselling author, host of the Empathy for Breakfast show, and Secrets of the Gap podcast.  A true global citizen, her career in advertising has led her to live in 7 locations and counting! Mimi currently resides in Dubai with her young daughter.

During this episode we talk about how advertising is Mimi’s blood, having been inspired to follow in the footsteps of her dear dad, an original British Mad Man; the recent work assignment which inadvertently set her on the path she is now on, driving the conversation around the global empathy deficit; and the next chapter, which sees a new adventure for Mimi and her little girl, as they travel to different parts of the world to discover the role that empathy and curiosity play in the cultures and societies they will immerse themselves in.

Mimi is wise and insightful.  This conversation brings new learnings and thoughts to consider around the role of storytelling in our lives, and how we can learn to better understand each other as human beings.
